Know that the Clinic/Surgeon is offering the type of treatment that you are interested in

There are many clinics that offer just one type of hair transplant procedure. It is always advisable to hear about all of the options in order to make an informed decision.

Research your Surgeon

Check that your Surgeon is registered with the General Medical Council and is fully qualified to carry out your treatment. Is your Surgeon a member of any regulated Hair Transplant associations where they update their skills and attend yearly conferences?

Ask about the Surgical Assistants

Hair transplants is team work, a great hair transplant surgeon is assisted by the most experienced highly trained technicians.

Check that the Surgeon will be the one carrying out all of your treatment

Some clinics abroad and in the UK will use technicians to punch the actual donor areas, this is not best practice and should always be carried out by the Surgeon.

Ensure that you are fully informed

Make sure that you have a written preoperative guide highlighting the pros and cons to a hair transplant including an exact costing inclusive of aftercare. Please use the 14 day cooling off period before you attend any clinic for surgery, hair transplantation is a journey that should be planned carefully.
